CNBC will premiere a documentary this evening that was produced 3 years ago and already aired in Canada back in 2008. The documentary is called “Pet Food: A Dog’s Breakfast” and was created from aftermath of the massive pet food recall in 2007. It exposes the pet food industry in North America and shows what is being done to regulate the food our pets eat.
The show will air tonight (Feb 10th) at 10pm and again tomorrow morning (Feb 11th) at 1am and finally on Sunday, February 13th at 10pm. All times are eastern.
It sure took a long time for a station in the USA to air this documentary. I have to wonder if maybe that delay was because of the Class Action Lawsuit. That lawsuit was officially settled on December 16, 2010. I suppose it’s also possible that the major pet food manufacturer’s put a squeeze on the networks to keep it from airing. Those advertising dollars can sure influence television programming. I plan on watching it. Will you?
