The Shelter Shack and its licensors make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of the site, software or information, content materials, or products included on this site. To the full extent permissible by applicable law, The Shelter Shack and its licensors disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The Shelter Shack and its suppliers futher do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of the information, text, links or other items contained within the site.

Submissions to the “Featured Rescues/Shelters” section of the website must be for qualified Animal Rescue or Shelter organizations. Submissions for puppy mills, pet retailers, or private breeders will not be posted on this website. Submissions to the “Featured Furball” section of the website should be of companion animals available for adoption through legitimate Animal Rescues or Shelters. Submissions of companion animals from puppy mills/puppy farms, pet retailers, private breeders or individuals will not be posted.
The Shelter Shack reserves the right to edit or remove any material submitted to this website, or stored on The Shelter Shack’s servers, or hosted or published upon this website.
Notwithstanding The Shelter Shack’s rights under these terms and conditions in relation to user content, The Shelter Shack does not undertake to monitor the submission of such content to, or the publication of such content on, this website.
COMMENTING POLICY
The following commenting policy is to be adhered to by all Shelter Shack users who choose to leave a comment on our posts. Comments not in compliance with our policy will be removed. Users not in compliance with our policy may be blocked from commenting.
- Play nice and be polite. Your fellow commenters are here for the same reason as you: they are fans. Please respect each other’s diversity of opinion. Discussion should be civilized. Debate is welcome, but don’t cross the line.
- Be respectful. No personal attacks, name calling, libel, defamation or hate speech. This refers to both fellow users and The Shelter Shack’s writers. We have zero tolerance for comments that are threatening, harassing, bullying, obscene, pornographic, homophobic, sexist or racist.
- Keep it on topic. If your comment isn’t related to the article at hand or veers too far off tangent, don’t be surprised if it’s removed. This is not a discussion board, tip line or your own blog. Comment sections are for your opinion on the article at hand. Keep your comment succinct. Additionally, refrain from posting links and articles from other sites. If you have a news tip, email it to us.
- Respect privacy. The Shelter Shack doesn’t post articles on people’s personal lives. We ask that you respect people’s privacy and adhere to the Privacy Policy set forth by The Shelter Shack.
- Avoid trolls. See a comment that is blatantly being provocative? It’s probably a troll looking for a reaction. Don’t feed them. Don’t respond. Just ignore it, or if you’re extra vigilant send us an email. Attention is what they crave so don’t give them the satisfaction. You are responsible for you. Anything you post is your words and The Shelter Shack cannot be held accountable for comments made by users. Think before you type.
